In a groundbreaking collaboration, SHOKESTA has joined forces with the Smiling Simon Greenbuild Foundation and Nigeria Connects Partners to launch the Hope Water Project at the Oba Correctional Center in Oba village, Abeokuta, Ogun State. The project aims to provide vital resources and support for the correctional center and is set to be officially commissioned on Friday, December 29, 2023.

The announcement was made during a surprise birthday celebration for Ambassador Soyebi Oluwakemi Abiodun at Kapadoccia Restaurant on Tuesday. Alhaji Adewale Adesesan, the brother of Ambassador Soyebi Oluwakemi Abiodun, praised his sister as a woman of substance and an icon who has made significant contributions to society by investing in the well-being of the people, especially the youth.

Expressing his support for the Hope Water Project, Alhaji Adewale Adesesan emphasized the importance of reaching out to inmates at the Oba Correctional Center. He highlighted that despite their isolation, inmates are still human beings, and many have demonstrated a commitment to social development even within the confines of the prison.
