The air was charged with a mix of laughter and sincerity as Koffi thaguru, the renowned comedian and MC, took the stage during the drug abuse conference organized by The Creative Industry Group at the National Station in Lagos State.

Amidst the spotlight, Koffi directed his applause towards the Lagos State government, acknowledging their commendable efforts in enhancing public education, setting them apart from other states.

In a bold call to action, Koffi urged state governments to rigorously enforce compliance standards for private schools. He asserted that a significant number of wayward children, particularly those heavily entangled with drugs, emerged from private school backgrounds, often belonging to affluent families.

Koffi emphasized the critical role of discipline in shaping the future of society and warned of potential menaces if children were not instilled with proper values.

Adding a stern note to his address, Koffi proposed a radical solution by advocating for the official ban of broadcast stations that promote musical videos showcasing the use of drugs." Government should officially ban every television station that encourages musical videos that shows use of drugs" he added.

His stance reflected a deep concern for the influence media could exert on the younger generation, emphasizing the need to curtail any form of content that might contribute to the proliferation of drug-related issues.
