Lagos State NSCDC Command Marks Elevation of 790 Officers with Elaborate Decoration Celebration


The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, celebrated the decoration ceremony for 790 newly promoted officers on Thursday, 28th December, 2023, at the Pavilion of the State Command's Headquarters in Alahusa, Ikeja. The event, which marked the elevation of officers to various ranks, was a joyous occasion filled with awards, thanksgiving, and special prayers.



In recognition of the outstanding performance of the promotees, the ceremony included a heartfelt address from Commandant of Corps Usman Alfadarai, expressing gratitude to the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi for their commitment to eradicating career stagnation and enhancing personnel welfare.



Alfadarai commended the Civil Defence Corrections Fire and Immigration Services Board for recognizing and rewarding hard work, professionalism, discipline, and dedication, resulting in the unprecedented promotion of deserving officers.



Emphasizing the importance of the welfare package provided by CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi, Alfadarai urged the promotees to view their elevation as an opportunity to excel professionally, operationally, and administratively. He reminded them to be good ambassadors and uphold the high standards of the Corps.



The ceremony also saw the presentation of awards to commendable officers, including the Management Officer of the year, Assistant Commandant of Corps Adenike Komaya, and the Special Commandant's Award for performance presented to Superintendent of Corps Aliyu Jamilu, among others.



The event was graced by representatives from various sister agencies, including the Garrison Commander, 81 Division, Brigadier General Musa Sadiq, and the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Lagos State Command, Corps Commander Babatunde Farinloye.
