NSA Commends EFCC Chairman for Outstanding Achievements in Anti-Corruption Drive
The National Security Adviser, Mallam Ribadu, lauded the noteworthy transformation spearheaded by EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, at the Enugu Zonal Command. The ceremony marked the commissioning of the newly revamped facility, with the NSA emphasizing the pivotal role of the EFCC in economic recovery and stability.
During the event,The NSA, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu praised Olukoyede for the substantial improvements in both infrastructure and operational efficiency at the EFCC.Emphasis was placed on the Commission's duty to combat proceeds from violent crimes, aligning with the goal of economic restoration.Collaboration among security agencies was encouraged, recognizing EFCC's contributions to curbing illicit financial flows.
Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi, reiterated the commitment to anti-corruption efforts, underscoring its adverse effects on economic development. The EFCC Chairman outlined his vision for a conducive work environment to boost staff productivity and motivation.
A firm assurance was given that fraudsters have no place in Enugu State, with a call for Civil Society Organizations to partner with the EFCC.
The conclusion of the event saw symbolic tree planting by dignitaries, including the NSA, Governor, and EFCC Chairman, followed by a comprehensive tour of the newly commissioned structure. Dele Oyewale, Head of Media & Publicity, reported on the commendation and underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in the ongoing fight against corruption.
