RIVERS CRISIS: THEY HAVE AN OPTION TO GO TO COURT

APC Chieftain Urges Minister Wike to Focus on Governance Amidst Rising Tensions in Rivers State(video)

In a recent interview with Arise Tv, Mr. Jesutega Onakpasa, a prominent member of the APC and participant in the Presidential Campaign Council, expressed concern over the escalating crisis in Rivers State, vehemently disapproving of Governor Wike's actions.

Onakpasa clarified that the President bears no responsibility for the crisis and highlighted efforts made by the President to mediate between Wike and Governor Fubara. He lamented the unsettling developments, including defections, impeachment talks, and the demolition of the House of Assembly, describing them as detrimental to the party's image.

The APC Chieftain emphasized the discomfort felt by party members regarding Minister Wike's perceived excesses, pointing out that Wike, being a federal minister, holds a position that transcends party lines. He urged Wike to focus on his ministerial duties and cease engaging in activities that generate negative optics.

Addressing Wike directly, Onakpasa appealed, "Please, just behave yourself and do the job that the President gave you. Leave this young man alone, settle your differences, and let's move forward." He stressed the need for unity within the party, underscoring President Bola Tinubu as the sole captain of the APC.
