ALHAJI TAJUDEEN AGBEDE DEBUNKS PARALYSIS RUMORS, CALLS FOR URGENT POLICE INVESTIGATION INTO ALLEGATIONS BY MC OLUOMO

Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede Debunks Paralysis Rumours, Calls for Urgent Police Investigation into Allegations by MC Oluomo

In response to recent rumors circulating on social media platforms regarding his health, Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede, the Chairman of the defunct National Caretaker Committee of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), has emphatically refuted claims of being paralyzed or afflicted with a stroke.

Allegations surfaced after the immediate past chairman of the Lagos council of the NURTW, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, commonly known as MC Oluomo, was accused of spreading false information suggesting that Agbede was bedridden and dealing with a stroke. Agbede has categorically denied these claims, branding them as wicked and the machination of detractors who wish him harm.

In a statement personally signed by Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede titled "I'm Hale and Hearty," he expressed his dismay over the alleged misinformation, revealing that individuals who attended the meeting with MC Oluomo provided him with details of what transpired.

“The people who attended the meeting with MC Oluomo told me everything that transpired at the meeting. It is very unfortunate that Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya could go to that extent of wishing me dead. His level of desperation and greed is second to none," Agbede stated.

To address these serious allegations, Alhaji Agbede has called upon the Nigerian Police to conduct an urgent investigation into the matter, urging authorities to bring to book those responsible for spreading false and potentially damaging information.

“I want to use this opportunity to inform everybody that has been calling me for updates that I’m very strong and healthy. I’m okay," he reassured.

Expressing gratitude for the support he has received during this challenging period, Alhaji Agbede thanked friends, colleagues, and relatives for their calls and concern. He emphasized the need to bolster security around him in response to the incident.

The unfolding events come in the aftermath of a meeting initiated by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to mediate tensions within the NURTW. It was resolved at the meeting that Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya should step aside for Alhaji Adekunle Mustspha (Sego) as the state chairman, with Alhaji Sulaimon Ojora (Kudeti) remaining as deputy state chairman.

As Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede seeks to dispel the damaging rumors, the focus now shifts to a thorough investigation by the Nigerian Police into the allegations against MC Oluomo and those responsible for spreading false information.
