Former Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu's Burial Arrangements Revealed
The burial arrangements and timetable for the late Rotimi Akeredolu, former Governor of Ondo State, who succumbed to prostate cancer on December 27, 2023, have been disclosed.

According to the People's Gazette, the funeral events are set to commence with a crusade in Akure on February 15, followed by a Jumat service on February 16. On February 19, a valedictory service and tributes by the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) will take place in Ibadan, followed by a simultaneous service of songs at All Saints Church, Jericho, and Jacob and Grace Chapel.
A commendation service is scheduled for February 20 at All Saints Church, Jericho, with a lying-in-state at his residence in Jericho, Ibadan. On February 21, a program in Akure will be held, followed by a service of songs at St. Andrews Church in Owo on February 22.
The funeral service is slated for February 23 at St. Andrews Church in Owo, with a reception at Mydas Hotel. Thanksgiving will follow on February 25.
Despite confirmation of the timetable by an anonymous member of the State Executive Council, former spokesman Richard Olatunde expressed surprise that a leaked copy reached the public. Olatunde noted ongoing input from the Owo diocese regarding the interment ceremony venue.
