KIDNAPPING: MINISTER WIKE PROMISE TO STRENGTHEN SECURITY.

In a recent security town hall meeting in Kwali town, Abuja, Minister of FCT, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, assured residents of strengthened security measures against kidnapping.

Wike directed area council chairmen to enhance local vigilance teams, promising swift deployment of security vehicles. Emphasizing the need for information, Wike pledged support for security agencies and announced plans to provide motorcycles for vigilance teams. 

Additionally, he addressed road issues, promising infrastructure development and discussing measures against "one chance" robbery attacks. The Minister highlighted plans to recertify taxis and ride-hailing services, ensuring safer transportation in the capital. On kidnapping, collaboration with neighboring states was emphasized, advocating practical steps and stringent laws to deter criminal activities in the territory.

 The Minister also urged legislative amendments to impose heavier penalties, discouraging criminals from operating.
