RRS Operatives Apprehend Suspects for Violating Speaker Regulations

In a proactive move to maintain public order, the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) apprehended three individuals for organizing a street carnival in Shasha, Akowonjo, in defiance of existing laws governing public speaker use in Lagos State.

The suspects, identified as Julius Osimirin 43, Isiaka Kabiru 16, and Ajewole Ajugba 42, were apprehended around 12:23 p.m. on Abatti Street, Shasha, as they set up the stage for their carnival.

The arrest followed the directives of Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Adegoke Fayoade, mni, to RRS Commander CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi to enforce the law against those attempting to disrupt public peace.

CP Fayoade had previously engaged with the carnival organizers, advising them to secure a venue for their event and refrain from closing down streets to avoid disturbances.

The suspects will face charges at the conclusion of investigations, as confirmed by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, anipr, mipra, Police Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Command.

This arrest underscores law enforcement's commitment to upholding public order and enforcing regulations in the state.
