UBA Receives International Accolades in Global Finance and Banking


United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, known as Africa's Global Bank, has garnered several prestigious international awards, solidifying its position as a key player in the financial industry. Recognized for outstanding performance, the bank received accolades in critical areas such as financial intermediation, project financing, trade facilitation, and advisory services.



UBA clinched the title of Global Finance's Best SME Bank for 2023 in Nigeria, Ghana, and Mozambique, showcasing its commitment to supporting small and medium-sized businesses, vital for economic growth. Additionally, the bank triumphed at the 2023 FMDQ Gold Awards, securing honors in Money Market Liquidity Provider, FX Market Liquidity Provider, and Dealing Member of the Year categories.


On the global stage, UBA Ghana excelled at the World Business Outlook Awards 2023, being recognized as the Best Banking Services Provider, Leading Financial Services Institution, and with Mr. Chris Ofikulu winning Banking CEO of the Year for Ghana. The bank's global recognition extended to being named Global Finance's Safest Bank in Senegal for 2023.

UBA's recent achievement of joining companies with a N1 trillion capitalization reflects its robust growth trajectory and market confidence, with shares named the highest performing in the banking sector in 2023.
