Deputy Governor Yakubu Garba, addressing the agitated crowd, acknowledged the citizens' hardships and assured them of the state government's concerted efforts to alleviate their financial distress. He urged the protesters to remain calm, emphasizing ongoing measures to mitigate the economic burden.

The protesters, wielding placards bearing messages like 'No Food,' 'We are Dying of Hunger,' and 'Save Our Families,' expressed frustration with the escalating costs of essential needs. The blockade of Minna Bida Road disrupted vehicular movements, affecting commuters and hindering access to workplaces for individuals, including those employed by the National Examination Council (NECO) and the Federal University of Technology Minna.
