Delta State Police Commissioner Takes Swift Action Against Extortion Case





In response to a reported case of extortion amounting to ₦2,465,000 by the Deputy Commissioner of Operations (DCO) 2 of the Abraka Division, the Commissioner of Police for Delta State, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, has taken decisive action.


Upon receiving the distressing report, CP Abaniwonda directed the Divisional Police Officer DPO of Abraka to appear at headquarters alongside the implicated DCO 2, SP Ibrahim Ishaku.


After being briefed on the incident, CP Abaniwonda promptly ordered the immediate removal of DCO 2 SP Ibrahim Ishaku and issued a query for misconduct.


Emphasizing zero tolerance for misconduct, extortion, or incivility towards the public, CP Abaniwonda reiterated the commitment of the Command under his leadership to deal decisively with erring officers. He stressed the importance of serving Delta state residents with integrity and respect for their rights.
