During a recent event, the governor's visionary initiative drew praise from national leaders, with the Nigerian leader commending Governor Zulum for his innovative strides in development.

Addressing the gathering, prominent figures hailed Governor Zulum's efforts, labeling them as "Hope Renewed" and applauding his commitment to the welfare of the people.

"We are going to take advantage of your foresight and proactiveness to, at the sub-national level, be able to start an assembly plant and add more value to the economy and bring economic prosperity to our people," remarked Tinubu, underscoring the potential economic benefits of the initiative.

Governor Zulum, in his remarks, emphasized that the move is part of his administration's broader metro transport scheme, aimed at mitigating the impact of fuel subsidy removal and promoting sustainable transportation solutions.

"In response to the subsidy removal and the subsequent directive to provide immediate palliative measures, we decided to invest massively in a mass transit scheme," explained Governor Zulum, outlining the rationale behind the initiative.

A total of 107 vehicles have been converted to utilize electricity and gas, representing a significant shift towards utilizing low-cost energy sources and promoting affordable transportation options. The fleet includes a variety of vehicles, ranging from gas-powered buses to electric-powered taxis, aimed at catering to diverse transportation needs within the state.

This move follows earlier initiatives by the Borno State Government, which procured 120 buses earlier in the year, further highlighting the state's commitment to enhancing its transportation infrastructure and providing efficient services to its residents.
