A tragic incident that shook the Alagemo community of Igbelaara, off Ijede road in Ikorodu, Lagos State, gunmen launched a brazen attack on Wednesday around 11 am, resulting in the death of two individuals and the abduction of a woman. The deceased have been identified as Suru Arije, aged 59, and Ilufoye Azeez, aged 30.

Reports indicate that the assailants also targeted vigilantes in the area, leaving four injured in the wake of the attack. Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident, stating that the injured individuals were receiving medical treatment at a nearby clinic.

"The incident occurred around 11 am. Two persons lost their lives, four others sustained injuries, and one woman was kidnapped," Hundeyin disclosed. He assured the public that the police have launched a thorough investigation into the matter and are actively pursuing leads.
