Jigawa State Government Allocates N1.4 Billion for Crucial Community Projects



In a significant move aimed at enhancing community infrastructure, the Umar Namadi-led Jigawa State Government has greenlit a budget of over N1.4 billion. This allocation is earmarked for the crucial initiatives of fencing graveyards and undertaking construction and renovation projects for mosques across 30 constituencies within the state.



Announcing the decision, Mr. Sagir Musa, the Commissioner for Information, Youths, Sport, and Culture, revealed that the State Executive Council approved the funds. The allocation is not only limited to graveyard fencing but extends to the vital task of mosque improvement, reflecting a commitment to community well-being.


Musa further explained that a portion of the approved funds would be dedicated to the construction and renovation of palaces for District Heads, underlining the comprehensive approach the government is taking to address various community needs.


He emphasized that this financial commitment, totaling N1.4 billion, is allocated specifically for 2023 Constituency Projects. The move showcases the government's dedication to investing in essential community projects that contribute to the overall development and well-being of the state's residents.
