...PERFORM YOUR LAGOS MIRACLE- FORMER MINISTER CRITICIZES TINUBU-LED ECONOMIC POLITICIES

Former Minister Solomon Dalung Criticizes Tinubu-led Government's Economic Policies

Former Minister Solomon Dalung has taken aim at the administration of President Tinubu, accusing it of consistently shifting blame onto former President Muhammad Buhari for Nigeria's economic challenges. In a series of social media posts, Dalung argued that if Tinubu's government redirected the resources and effort expended during elections and tribunals towards addressing security and economic issues, significant improvements could be made.

Dalung expressed frustration with what he perceives as hypocritical attempts to deflect blame onto Buhari and others within his government. He criticized Tinubu's economic policies, including subsidy withdrawal without adequate measures, currency devaluation without stimulating production, and high governance costs. Dalung urged Tinubu's administration to take responsibility for its actions rather than scapegoating Buhari.

He emphasized the urgency of addressing hunger and the high cost of living, highlighting that blaming Buhari for economic woes wouldn't alleviate the hardships faced by the people. Dalung called for accountability and urged Tinubu's government to prioritize solutions over blame-shifting.

In response to the government's appeals for sacrifice, Dalung asserted that Nigerians cannot sacrifice under what he described as rudderless leadership. He questioned whether Tinubu's administration had accounted for the proceeds of subsidy withdrawal and criticized the government's failure to deliver on the promised "change."

While acknowledging Buhari's shortcomings, Dalung stressed that the responsibility for Nigeria's economic woes lies with Tinubu's government due to its reckless policies. He called for a departure from "mercenary tactics of distracting attention" and urged the government to focus on taking responsibility and implementing effective solutions.
