CGC Adeniyi Strengthens Ties with Emir Bayero, Vows to Enhance Business Climate in Kano

The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, recently visited the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, in a gesture aimed at fostering mutual respect and enhancing business relations in Kano.

During the meeting, CGC Adeniyi reiterated the commitment of the Nigeria Customs Service to strengthen ties with the Kano community, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and understanding between the Service and local stakeholders.

Kano Emir and Comptroller-General Custom 

In a bid to facilitate trade in the state, CGC Adeniyi pledged to implement policies aimed at simplifying business processes and engaging with relevant stakeholders. Additionally, he announced plans to address the current challenges of food scarcity and hardship in Kano by distributing food items to the state's residents.

Speaking about the purpose of his visit, CGC Adeniyi stated, "We are here in Kano to extend our felicitations to the Emir and to ensure that our officers are effectively carrying out their duties in and around Kano. We cannot address the country's challenges without starting from here."

Acknowledging the security and food scarcity issues facing the nation, CGC Adeniyi emphasized the Service's responsibility to contribute to finding solutions. He outlined plans to distribute seized food items to the residents of Kano as part of the Service's efforts to support the federal government's initiatives.

In response, Emir Bayero warmly welcomed CGC Adeniyi and commended his plans to distribute food items to alleviate the suffering of Kano citizens. He highlighted the importance of collaboration between governmental agencies and traditional authorities in addressing the country's challenges.

Emphasizing the significance of dialogue and cooperation, Emir Bayero assured CGC Adeniyi of his Palace's support in initiatives aimed at fostering development and prosperity in Kano and Nigeria at large.
