APC: PRIMARY ELECTION DECLARED INCONCLUSIVE IN ONDO STATE

Ondo State APC Primary Election Declared Inconclusive: Logistics Issues Force Re-run in Okitipupa Local Government

Following a meticulous review of reports stemming from the primary election across Ondo State, the All Progressive Congress (APC) has officially declared the exercise inconclusive. The announcement, made by the Chairman of the Ondo State APC Governorship Primary Election Committee, Usman Ododo, cited logistical challenges leading to the non-conduct of the election in some local government areas.

A crucial point of contention arose due to the delayed arrival of essential materials and personnel, effectively impeding the smooth progression of the electoral process. Consequently, the primary election in Okitipupa Local Government, encompassing 13 wards and boasting a total validated registered membership of 9,515, is set for a re-run.

The re-scheduled primary election is slated to commence promptly at 12 noon on Sunday, 21st April 2024. This decisive move aims to uphold the integrity of the electoral process, ensuring that every member's voice is duly heard and accounted for. Subsequent to the re-run, the final collation of results will be diligently conducted, culminating in the much-awaited declaration of a victor.

With tensions high and anticipation mounting, stakeholders eagerly await the resolution of this pivotal electoral juncture, poised to shape the political landscape of Ondo State. Stay tuned for further updates as the saga unfolds.
