Tragic Boat Mishap Claims Life of Nollywood Artiste: Akwa Ibom State Governor Directs Return of Deceased

The aftermath of a tragic boat mishap on River Nigeria, which claimed the lives of several Nollywood actors and crew members, the Akwa Ibom State Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, mourns the loss of Ms. Abigael Edith Frederick, a talented make-up artiste and graduate of Theatre Arts.

Expressing deep sorrow over the untimely passing of the 24-year-old, Governor Umo Eno extends heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, the entire Nollywood community, and her circle of friends and colleagues. Ms. Frederick's demise is not only a loss to her loved ones but also a poignant reminder of the fragility of life.

Amidst reports circulating on social media regarding her burial arrangements, the Governor clarifies that the government was not formally informed of the circumstances surrounding her interment. In response to this oversight, Governor Umo Eno has directed that Ms. Frederick's remains be brought back to her family for a proper and dignified burial.

As preparations are underway to repatriate her body, the Governor assures the bereaved family that they will not endure this sorrow alone, echoing the sentiments of solidarity expressed in the famous theme song of the Liverpool Football Club.

In honoring Ms. Abigael Edith Frederick's memory, may her soul find eternal peace.
