CP Fayoade Orders Crackdown on Phone Seizure in Lagos: 303 Suspects Face Prosecution

Concerns over the illegal seizure of phones in certain areas of Lagos State have prompted Commissioner of Police, CP Adegoke Fayoade, mni, to issue marching orders to all Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) and Area Commanders.

During a meeting on Monday, April 8, 2024, CP Fayoade directed increased security measures, including intensified neighborhood patrols, to combat this emerging menace. He warned of severe sanctions for any officer whose jurisdiction experiences such incidents, reaffirming the Command's commitment to stamping out criminal activities.

The Lagos State Police Command commends citizens for reporting these incidents and urges continued vigilance. Meanwhile, CP Fayoade has ordered the immediate prosecution of 303 suspects apprehended during weekend raids conducted by Area Commanders, DPOs, and the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).
