Delta CP Presents Over N47m to Families of 22 Deceased Officers
The Commissioner of Police for Delta State Command, Mr. Abaniwonda Olufemi, reaffirmed the Inspector General of Police's commitment to the welfare of both serving and late officers during a ceremony in Asaba on Thursday.
Mr. Olufemi presented cheques totaling N47,827,529 to 22 families of deceased police officers who passed away while on active duty.
"These cheques, issued as part of the IGP Family Welfare Scheme, Group Life Assurance, and Group Personal Accident Insurance Schemes, signify the Inspector General of Police's dedication to the well-being of our officers, both past and present," stated Mr. Olufemi.
He expressed gratitude on behalf of the force for the support provided by the IGP, emphasizing the significance of the financial assistance in easing the burden on the families of the fallen officers.
In acknowledging the sacrifices made by the deceased officers, Mr. Olufemi assured that their contributions to the force would never be forgotten.
Expressing appreciation, one of the beneficiaries thanked the Inspector General of Police for his generosity, pledging to utilize the funds prudently for the betterment of their families.
