Former England women's player, Eniola Aluko, has shattered barriers by becoming the first black woman to own a club in Italy. Aluko has acquired a significant stake in FC Como's female team, marking a historic moment in the world of football.

The 37-year-old revealed the milestone through her X page, announcing her involvement in the $100 million ownership group, Mercury 13, which secured a majority stake in the club. Born in Lagos to Nigerian parents in 1987, Eniola Aluko's journey to ownership reflects her global upbringing and passion for the beautiful game.
