IGP APPOINTS SUPOL HUNDEYIN AS PPRO, PORT AUTHORITY

New Police Appointments Aim to Boost Community Engagement


In a bid to bolster community engagement and strategic communication, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Olukayode Egbetokun, has greenlit the deployment of dedicated Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) and Deputy Public Relations Officers at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.


This move, as reported by Gatekeepers News, comes as part of efforts to strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the public.


According to a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the appointments aim to enhance communication channels and foster trust between the police force and citizens.


Among the newly appointed officers and their respective roles are CSP Isuku Victor Edailokun as Deputy Force Public Relations Officer for Force Headquarters Abuja, DSP Ukandu Joshua as PPRO for Ebonyi, ASP Buhari Abdullahi as PPRO for Gombe, ASP John Timfon as PPRO for Akwa-Ibom, and ASP Hundeyin Isaac Sewanu as PPRO for Ports Authority Police (Western) Lagos. Sewanu, prior to his appointment, served at Ikeja Divisional Headquarters, Lagos State Police Command.


In reaffirming his commitment to upholding standards and advancing the Force, the Inspector General of Police stressed the importance of the newly posted officers' roles and wished them success in their endeavors.


Adejobi emphasized that the newly appointed officers have been tasked with maintaining professionalism and cultivating strong relationships with the public.
