Lagos State Commissioner Receives Societal Concerns Team, Lauds Initiative.


The Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Honorable Mobolaji Ogunlende, welcomed Ambassador Oluwayomi Oluwapelumi and the team from Societal Concerns Organization to his office today. The visit marks the beginning of a promising collaboration aimed at addressing key social developmental issues in Lagos State.


Honorable Ogunlende expressed his gratitude and excitement for the meeting, acknowledging societal concerns’ efforts in highlighting societal issues. 


He commended the team's dedication and hard work, noting that while he had heard of Societal Concerns , he was not aware of its background and origins. "I'm glad we've met now. I think what people like me can do is to project you, see how we can encourage you, and by encouraging, I mean giving you access to information and to areas of activities that we're doing," Ogunlende stated.



The Ministry of Youth and Social Development handles a wide range of social developmental issues, making this collaboration particularly meaningful. "Since it's social development and societal concerns, we're most married together because a lot of advocacy needs to be done, especially with the great work that we're doing," he emphasized.

Under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Lagos State has made significant strides in social development. The partnership with *Societal Concerns Magazine* is expected to further these efforts by increasing public awareness and driving positive change.



"I'd like to say a big well done, and my door is open. We'll see how we can work with you and continue to collaborate to project the beautiful work that we're doing to ensure that a greater Lagos will rise," Ogunlende concluded.



The meeting marks the start of a collaborative effort to enhance social advocacy and youth development in Lagos, reflecting the state's commitment to creating a more informed and engaged community.
