NATIONAL SECURITY SUMMIT: ICSS AND LASU COLLABORATES, ANNOUNCES HONOUR FOR DISTINGUISHED CITIZENS 



The Institute of Criminology and Strategic Studies ICSS, in partnership with Lagos State University Consult, is set to host its annual National Security Summit. The event, part of the 2024 Democracy Day celebrations, will take place on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at 9:00 AM at the Faculty of Education Hall, Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos.


The summit, themed "National Security Agenda: Community Engagement, Law Enforcement and Technology," aims to enhance participants' understanding of community policing through the integration of community engagement, law enforcement, and technological advancements. Attendees will benefit from interactive networking opportunities, gain summit certification, and have the chance to become certified members of ICSS.


The summit will gather a diverse group of attendees, including law enforcement agents from the military, police, and other paramilitary agencies, academics, members of the diplomatic corps, seasoned security experts, community associations, civil society organizations, youth groups, students, traditional leaders, non-governmental organizations, religious bodies, and other relevant stakeholders.


Highlights of the event will include panel sessions, showcases of innovative technologies and solutions, membership opportunities with ICSS's National Anti-Crime Corps, and a special investiture ceremony for distinguished members of society. The event will be accessible both in person and virtually via ICSS's social media channels.
