CRIME: POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED RITUALIST IN OGUN
The Adatan Divisional Police Officer has arrested a suspected ritualist, Lekan Akinyemi, for unlawfully possessing a human head.
The suspect was caught red-handed after digging up a grave and severing the head at Isale Itoko, Abeokuta.
The incident was reported by Nojeem Balogun, who discovered that his late father’s grave had been tampered with and the head removed.
Further investigation led to the identification and arrest of Akinyemi.
The case has been transferred to the Anti-Robbery unit for further investigation before being handed over to the State CID.
The police are working to uncover the motive behind the gruesome act.
