Globacom to Entertain Nigeria with Glo Lafftafest Comedy Show


Nigerian telecoms giant Globacom is set to delight its subscribers across the country with its renowned comedy show, Glo Lafftafest. The entertainment series will kick off on August 30 in Benin City, Edo State, and will tour major cities nationwide.


In a statement released in Lagos, Globacom announced that the show, which debuted in 2009, will feature top-tier Nigerian stand-up comedians including Glo ambassadors Basket Mouth and Helen Paul, along with newly signed acts Bovi and AY. Salvador from Uganda will also make a special guest appearance. Other comedians set to perform include Okey Bakassi, I Go Die, Seyi Law, Funny Bone, Dan De Humorous, Julius Agwu, Buchi, Gordons, Omo Baba, Osama, Bash, and more.


Following the premiere in Benin, the comedy show will travel to Victoria Island, Abeokuta, Surulere, Port Harcourt, Ikeja, Ibadan, Ikorodu, Egbeda, Abuja, and Ijebu-Ode. Each event will be preceded by a roadshow in the respective location.


In addition to comedy, Glo Lafftafest will showcase performances by award-winning artists and Glo ambassadors such as Flavour, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Wande Coal, Korede Bello, D’ija, Reekado Banks, Pasuma, and Saheed Osupa. The music will be provided by top DJs including DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Neptune, DJ XGee, DJ Spinall, DJ Switch, and DJ Tor.


"Lafftafest is part of Globacom’s contribution to the development of the entertainment industry in Nigeria," the statement noted. Globacom reaffirmed its commitment to offering its subscribers the best in entertainment and value-for-money services.
