Lagos Governor Shuffles Security Leadership
The Lagos State Government has appointed CSP Adetayo Akerele as the new Chairman of the Lagos Environmental and Special Offenses Unit, commonly known as the Lagos Taskforce. Akerele, previously the BRT Lane Monitoring and Enforcement Commander, is noted for his leadership and operational expertise.
He succeeds CSP Shola Jejeloye, who has been reassigned as the Commander of the Lagos State Rapid Response Squad (RRS). This reshuffle aims to bolster law enforcement efficiency and public safety in the state.
The appointments, effective immediately, signal a strategic shift in the state's security apparatus.
