LAGOS NSCDC ON PROTECTION OF NATIONAL ASSETS VISITS NNS COMMANDER







LAGOS NSCDC SEEKS WAYS FORWARD ON THE PROTECTION OF CRITICAL NATIONAL ASSETS AND INFRASTRUCTURE, KESHINRO VISITS COMMANDER NNS BEECROFT.


The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro has sought ways forward on the protection of critical national assets and infrastructure in the state. In his bid to fulfilling the all important mandate of the Corps, the Lagos State Commandant, Mr Adedotun Keshinro visited, the Commander, Nigeria Navy Ship ( NNS ) Beecroft, Commodore Rafiu Oladejo in his office, earlier today, Wednesday, 26th June, 2024.


The Lagos State Commandant, Mr Adedotun Keshinro appreciated the NNS Beecroft for its operational role and professional collaborations in recent times especially, with the handover of suspects and exhibits to the Corps, for further investigation and prosecution.






Recall that the Commander, NNS Beecroft, Commodore Rafiu Oladejo handed over five suspects, illegal dump site and an  estimated sixty five thousand ( 65,000 ) litres of Automotive Gas Oil ( AGO ) alos known as diesel, to the Lagos State Commandant at the crime scene located, in Lekki, on 3rd April, 2024. The relationship between the NNS Beecroft and the NSCDC, Lagos State Command has been further strengthened afterwards following several professional and operational collaborations . 



The Commander, NNS Beecroft, Commodore Rafiu Oladejo maintained, that his interest in ensuring and enhancing collaboration with the Corps has not stopped. He promised that as a command and Navy they will continue to support the NSCDC, Lagos State Command, in ensuring the fulfilment of the Corps' mandate.


The Commander, NNS Beecroft, further extolled the Corps' proactive feedback on arrests of suspects and exhibits handed over to it over time. He said that this further exemplified trust and integrity the Navy has in the Corps.
