Olatutu Oladunni Honored at Pride Man of the Year Awards: A Pillar in Security and Diplomatic Relations

The prestigious Award ceremony was held on Sunday, Mrs. Olatutu Oladunni, the S.A Foreign Relations and Head of Protocol to the Ambassador, Permanent Representative for the Pan-African American Chamber of Commerce, West African region, was celebrated for her exceptional contributions in the fields of security and diplomacy. She was awarded in two distinct categories: Outstanding Diplomatic Protocol and Personality of the Year. Additionally, her company, Carolina King Media Limited, was recognized as the Outstanding Media Outfit of the Year.

During an interview with Societal concerns, Mrs. Oladunni elaborated on her impactful role in enhancing security and governance through diplomatic channels. She highlighted the significance of robust diplomatic ties in fostering national security and economic growth.

"Security dialogue with foreign nationals, particularly focusing on Indian business workers in Nigeria who have been here for multiple generations, is a critical part of our work. It's a big deal," Mrs. Oladunni stated. She emphasized the importance of initiatives like community policing combined with diplomatic security measures. "Even if we have security challenges, successful diplomatic ties and bilateral relationships between continents, nations, and states can be accredited for effective security structures."

Mrs. Oladunni further explained how diplomacy is integral to national security, asserting that strong diplomatic ties lead to better security outcomes without prejudice or malicious sentiments. "I agree totally with the CP Lagos in this regard. Security plays a crucial role in trade, economy, investments, health, and the overall functioning of the nation. Security is the bottom line," she said. "Diplomatic ties and foreign relations between nations and continents are what make security work."
