Senator Otunba Gbenga Daniel Hosts Societal Concerns Team at Sagamu Residence

His Excellency, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, the distinguished former governor of Ogun State. Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District expressed great enthusiasm as he welcomed Ambassador Oluwayomi and her team to his country home in Sagamu on Sunday. The team presented their upcoming campaign, "Walk Against Killing of Security Personnel," set to take place in Ogun State.

The initiative aims to address the alarming rise in attacks on security personnel, highlighting the critical need for community support and awareness. Ambassador Oluwayomi, known for her advocacy in social justice and security reforms, outlined the campaign’s objectives during the visit. Representing the team, Amb. Oluwayomi,  Amb. Zaaki Azzay, Mr. Seyi Makinde, Mr Abiodun Oyedele , Hon. Osonuga Emmanuel.The campaign will include a series of public engagements, educational programs, and the titular walk to draw attention to the plight of security personnel and advocate for stronger protective measures.

Senator Gbenga Daniel commended the team's efforts and emphasized the importance of safeguarding those who risk their lives to protect the community. “Our security personnel are the backbone of our safety and order. It is imperative that we, as a society, stand against the violence they face and advocate for their protection,” He stated.

The senator’s residence in Sagamu buzzed with discussions on strategies to mobilize public support and ensure the campaign's success. His Excellency pledged his full backing for the initiative, promising to leverage his influence and network to amplify the campaign’s message.

Ambassador Oluwayomi expressed gratitude for Senator Daniel’s support, noting that his involvement would significantly boost the campaign’s impact. “Having Senator Daniel’s endorsement is a monumental step in our mission. His commitment to public service and security aligns perfectly with our cause,” she said.
