Oyo Governor Approves New Olubadan: Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakuleyin
Oyo State Governor 'Seyi Makinde has officially approved the appointment of Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakuleyin as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland. The appointment was confirmed in a memo signed on June 14, 2024, under the authority granted by Section 19 (Cap 28) Law of Oyo State 2000 as amended.
The announcement was made by Honourable Olusegun Olayiwola, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, who detailed that this approval follows the meticulous procedures outlined in the state's laws concerning royal succession.
Governor Makinde extended his congratulations to Oba Olakuleyin, expressing hopes that his reign will usher in significant development for both Ibadanland and Oyo State.
