APPEAL THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT OR YOU DIE IN DETENTION

INRI Prophet Ayodele Urges IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu to Appeal for Government Mercy

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a stark warning to Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). During the launch of his 30th “Warning to the Nations” at his church in Lagos on Saturday, Ayodele advised Kanu to appeal to the Nigerian government for his release, cautioning that his life is at serious risk if he remains in detention without seeking mercy.

Primate Ayodele's advice comes amidst growing concerns for Kanu's well-being, as he remains in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) under orders from the Nigerian government. The prophet emphasized the urgency of Kanu’s situation, suggesting that an appeal to the authorities is crucial for his survival.

The warning from Ayodele aligns with recent political efforts in the Southeast. Governors and senators from the region have announced plans to meet with President Bola Tinubu to discuss a political resolution to Kanu's continued detention. Despite several court orders granting Kanu bail, the Nigerian government has steadfastly refused to release him, leading to heightened tensions and calls for a negotiated settlement.

Nnamdi Kanu has been held since June 2021, following his re-arrest in Kenya and subsequent repatriation to Nigeria. His detention has sparked widespread protests and drawn international attention to the plight of the Biafran independence movement.

Adding a broader context to his warning, Ayodele also made a bold prediction about Nigeria's future. He foresees the eventual breakup of the nation, a process he believes will start from the North and unfold without a bloodbath. According to Ayodele, this breakup is inevitable due to the discontentment of the nation’s forefathers, and neither Nnamdi Kanu nor Yoruba Nation agitator Sunday Igboho will be responsible for it. He stated that prayer and fasting would not prevent this outcome.

The remarks by Primate Ayodele explain the critical and volatile nature of Nigeria's current political landscape. As calls for a peaceful resolution to Kanu's detention grow louder, the Nigerian government faces increasing pressure to address the underlying issues driving separatist sentiments and to find a pathway to lasting peace and stability.
