INEC Confirms Voter Registration Status of Edo PDP Gubernatorial Candidate, Asue Ighodalo
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially confirmed that Asue Ighodalo, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Edo State, is a duly registered voter with a valid Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC).
This confirmation was made by INEC during a court proceeding at the Federal High Court in Abuja. The verification of Ighodalo’s voter registration status came as part of INEC’s testimony in response to a lawsuit filed by Anslem Ojezua, another PDP aspirant who lost in the party’s primary election. Ojezua is challenging Ighodalo’s nomination as the PDP candidate for the forthcoming Edo state gubernatorial election, scheduled for September 21.
