Governor Aiyedatiwa Congratulates Femi Adekanmbi on HYPREP Appointment



Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has extended his congratulations to Dr. Olufemi Adekanmbi following his appointment as the new Project Coordinator for the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.


Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed his gratitude to the President for selecting Dr. Adekanmbi, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State. He praised Dr. Adekanmbi's extensive experience and unwavering commitment to environmental management.


In his statement, Governor Aiyedatiwa highlighted his confidence in Dr. Adekanmbi's capacity to fulfill the mandate of HYPREP, which aims to restore and revitalize hydrocarbon-polluted communities across Nigeria. The Governor urged Dr. Adekanmbi to deliver remarkable results, aligning with President Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Olufemi Adekanmbi as the new Project Coordinator for the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP). Dr. Adekanmbi, a former Commissioner for Special Duties, Culture, and Tourism in Ondo State, is also a distinguished member of the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES) with a Doctorate in Environmental Management.


In his new role, Dr. Adekanmbi is expected to bring his expertise, dedication, and professionalism to the forefront in the mission to restore and revitalize communities impacted by hydrocarbon pollution, particularly focusing on Ogoniland in Nigeria. President Tinubu emphasized the importance of this role in advancing the environmental and health conditions of affected communities.


Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), released a statement expressing the President’s confidence in Dr. Adekanmbi's ability to lead HYPREP successfully.
