Ikeja New Era Lions Club Dual Impact Activity on Environmental Sanitation & Cholera Awareness


The Ikeja New Era Lions Club conducted a highly impactful dual activity focusing on environmental sanitation and cholera awareness on July 13th. This significant event took place in Oke Aro Village and Matogun Area, where the community was actively engaged and empowered towards a healthier and more sustainable future.


The initiative was led by the dynamic team of President Lion Yinka Alli, Region Chairperson Lion Joseph Babatunde, and 1st Vice District Governor Lion Kemi Eribake. Their leadership and dedication brought hope and positive change to the community.

The cholera awareness campaign was a crucial part of the project, aimed at educating the residents on preventive measures and the importance of maintaining hygiene to avoid the spread of the disease. Through informative sessions and interactive discussions, the community members were equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to safeguard their health.


Simultaneously, the environmental sanitation drive saw volunteers cleaning and improving the sanitation conditions of the area. This hands-on approach not only improved the immediate environment but also set a standard for community involvement in maintaining cleanliness.
