Osinowo Ayoola Clement Passes Leadership Torch To Ali Okayinka at Ikeja New Era Lions Club




 The usual monthly meeting took a turn on Sunday, June 30, at the Lagos Civil Service Club in Ikeja GRA, Lion Osinowo Ayoola Clement, the outgoing president of the Ikeja New Era Lions Club for the 2023/2024 Lion Year, officially handed over the leadership mantle to the president-elect, Lion Ali Olayinka.


The ceremonial handover took place during the club's regular meeting, marking the transition to new leadership for the 2024/2025 Lion Year. Among the distinguished leaders was the First Vice District Governor-Elect of District 404B2 Nigeria, Lion Oluwakemi Eribake, who is also a chartered president of the club.

In his parting address, Osinowo Ayoola Clement expressed his gratitude and confidence in his successor: "I hereby hand over the mantle of leadership for the year 2024/2025 to Lion Alli Olayinka as the next president of Ikeja New Era Lions Club."


Responding to the cheers and the occasion with enthusiasm, the incoming president, Lion Alli Olayinka, delivered an impassioned speech, emphasizing his commitment to the role and the importance of collective support from club members.

"I want to say a very big thank you for entrusting me with this esteemed position as the president of the club for the 2024/2025 Lion Year. I pledge that to the best of my ability, with the help of God, I will do all that is within me to move the club forward with your support. As the Yorubas say, a tree does not make a forest. It is only with your support that I can achieve anything. Without your support, I am just an ordinary person. I need your cooperation and support, and I believe I already have it. Thank you once again for having me as your president."

The event underscored the club's commitment to continuity and the shared mission 1.5 of the Lions Club within the community. The members of Ikeja New Era Lions Club expressed their readiness to support the new president and continue their efforts towards making impactful contributions to society.
