Commissioner Ogunlende's Leadership Shines at Lagos Unity Novelty March ( Video )

The Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, affectionately known as 'Rak,' took center stage today as he joined the Lagos Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) for the highly anticipated Unity Novelty March. 

The event, held at Obele Mini Stadium, Surulere, marked a significant moment in the ongoing Lagos Youth Week 2024, and showcased the unwavering commitment of Hon. Ogunlende to the youth of Lagos.

Since taking office, Hon. Ogunlende has become a beacon of change and inspiration, earning the admiration of the youth with his charismatic approach to leadership. His active participation in today’s Unity Novelty March was a testament to his dedication to fostering unity and collaboration among young people in Lagos.

Supported by the S S A on Youth Mobilization to the Governor, Hon. Opeyemi, Alabi and director of the Ministry of Youth and Social Development, ALHAJI Saka Abdullateef  and his deputy, Mr. Olukosi Julius. Hon. Ogunlende's presence brought renewed energy and enthusiasm to the event. The Commissioner’s engagement with the youth has not only redefined the narrative of youth development in the state but also positioned him as a leader who is deeply invested in the future of Lagos' younger generation.

The Unity Novelty March, led by NYCN Lagos Chairman, Engr. Adigun Ibrahim Olalekan (MNSE), celebrated the spirit of unionism, strength, and love for the Council and Lagos State. The event featured a friendly match between members of the management team and leaders/elders of the Council, alongside other games such as chess, ludo, and draft.

In his address to the participants, Hon. Ogunlende emphasized the importance of unity and collective action in building a brighter future for Lagos. "The strength of Lagos lies in the unity of its youth," he remarked. "Together, we can achieve remarkable things, and I am here to support and walk this journey with you."
