On the second day of the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest held at Ojota's Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park, Lagos witnessed a remarkable display of coordination and professionalism from its security agencies, ensuring a largely peaceful event. Led by the Commissioner of Police, CP Adegoke, the security forces provided maximum coverage and swift response to potential disruptions, maintaining order and safety for protesters and the public alike.


A notable presence was seen from key security figures, including ACP Braide Ibiye, Commander of Mopol 22; SP Benjamin Hundeyin, Lagos PPRO; SP Waheed Gbadamosi, Commander of the Counter Terrorism Unit; CSP Tayo Akerele, Chairman of the Taskforce; CSP Sola Jejeloye, Commander of the Rapid Response Squad; DSS; Police Tactical Teams and Brigadier General Adetuyi, Commander of the 9 Brigade. Their collective efforts underscored a robust security strategy, showcasing a unified approach to handling the demonstrations.


Despite the overall peaceful atmosphere, four individuals were arrested on charges of attempting to disrupt the protest. The swift action by the police, led by CP Adegoke, was a testament to their commitment to maintaining peace and security. The arrested individuals, described as hoodlums, were promptly apprehended, ensuring that the integrity of the protest was upheld.
