Lagos CP Adegoke Assures Round-the-Clock Security on Third Mainland Bridge, 

-Urges Prompt Reporting of Suspicious Activities


The Lagos State Police Command has responded to recent claims about the alleged absence of police presence or possible collusion with criminal elements on the Third Mainland Bridge and other key roads in the state. In a press release issued today, the Command refuted these allegations, emphasizing its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all commuters.


According to the statement, police officers are deployed around-the-clock to the Third Mainland Bridge and other strategic locations throughout Lagos. These deployments include both patrol cars and motorcycles, ensuring continuous monitoring and quick response capabilities. Commuters are encouraged to take advantage of the visible and roving police presence at these locations to ensure their safety.


The Command also urged the public to promptly report any suspicious or criminal activities, particularly emergencies, by contacting the police via the provided emergency numbers: 09168631001, 09168631002, 09168631003, 09168631004, 08065154338, and 08063299264. Swift reporting, the statement notes, will enable the police to take immediate and appropriate action.


Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Adegoke Fayoade, reassured residents and visitors that the security of all within the state remains a top priority. He reiterated the Command's commitment to maintaining peace and order across Lagos, especially in areas prone to criminal activities.


The Police Public Relations Officer for the Lagos State Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who signed the release, encouraged the public to remain vigilant and cooperative with the police to ensure a safer Lagos for all.
