Rt. Hon. James Faleke Joins Ikeja Constituents in Isese Day Celebration

In a vibrant display of cultural pride and community spirit, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) James Abiodun Faleke, the esteemed federal lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, actively participated in the annual Isese Day celebration. This important cultural event honors the deep-rooted traditions and heritage of the Yoruba people and has become a significant occasion in Lagos State.

Isese Day, celebrated on August 20th, is marked by various traditional activities, including prayers, dances, and ritual sacrifices. These acts are performed to venerate Yoruba deities, ancestors, and cultural practices, emphasizing the community's connection to its spiritual and historical roots.

During the celebration, Rt. Hon. Faleke took a moment to extend his prayers for the success of Nigeria’s leadership, including President Bola Tinubu, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, members of the House of Assembly, and local government chairmen. His prayers focused on seeking divine intervention for the nation, calling for the restoration of the economy and an end to insurgency, Boko Haram, banditry, and other security challenges facing the country.

In his message, Faleke expressed hope that the prayers offered during Isese Day would be accepted by the Supreme Being, Olódùmarè (God), and that they would bring about a positive transformation in Nigeria.

The federal lawmaker's participation in Isese Day underscores his commitment to preserving and celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Yoruba people while also advocating for the well-being of his constituents and the nation at large.

"Service to the people continues," Faleke affirmed, as he joined hands with the Ikeja community in this meaningful celebration.
