FUEL CRISIS: PRIMATE URGES PRESIDENT TAKE ACTION ON NNOC LEADERSHIP

Fuel Crisis: Primate Ayodele Urges President Tinubu to Take Action on NNPC Leadership

As Nigeria endures one of its longest fuel crises, Primate Elijah Ayodele has issued a stern warning to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging him to address the leadership of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL). The prophet has specifically called for the removal of the current NNPC GMD, Mele Kyari, and for comprehensive reforms within the national oil company to alleviate the ongoing fuel scarcity and prevent further economic hardship.

Primate Ayodele, who had previously warned that petrol prices could skyrocket to N1,200 or more, has repeatedly emphasized the need for urgent changes at the NNPCL. He believes that without these reforms, the fuel crisis will persist, and Tinubu’s administration could suffer severe consequences, including a potential negative impact on the President’s political future.

The recent official hike in fuel prices by NNPCL to N897/Litre, with some marketers raising prices above N1,000, has seemingly validated Ayodele’s prophecies, heightening concerns about the future stability of the economy and the government's public perception.

Primate Ayodele’s warnings suggest that if President Tinubu does not act quickly, the ongoing crisis could become an enduring challenge, complicating efforts to govern effectively and secure public support for future endeavors.
